Dadstronomy at Athens Spring Festivals

Expanding our culinary horizons

Dadstronomy creatively participates in the pioneering festivals of the city and expands its culinary horizons with new flavorful experiences.

Fransiska Pierbos and Sandra Teitge, invited to the Fast Forward Festival 6, explore the Greek reality of waste management and its multiple aspects. They invite a wide range of protagonists from the waste management sector, public administration, workers, politicians, as well as companies, collectives, organizations, residents, and the general public to their disruptive dinner-performance at the Roumelioton Cultural Center.

All the above, as co-travelers, participated on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in a dinner with a menu specially inspired for the occasion, discussing the research conducted by the two artists in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Volos.

Fransiska Pierbos and Sandra Teitge, in collaboration with chefs Gogo Delogianni and Kostas Sotiriou, created a unique menu “From the Mountains of the Tribe” featuring Velvety Magiritsa, Tribe Mountains Egg with Mixed Salad, Lamb with Savory Marmalade from Demotic Bitter Oranges, Black Kourou Cheese Pie in Ashes, and a Collective Cake crafted by the charismatic Evita Pacharalamos from Evita loves cakes. The dinner was curated by Dadstronomy.

The history of culture, human rights, the living standards of the African community in Greece and the position of the second largest continent on the world map were the focus of the monthly DIALOGUES series of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for the month of May.

And of course Dadstronomy was there and in collaboration with the Ethiopian restaurant Lalibela (https://www.lalibelarestaurant.gr/index.php) offered to those who were at Kypseli Municipal Market on May 16, 2019 specialties from Ethiopian cuisine and Ethiopian coffee.

Septem beer (http://septem.gr) was not missing from the celebration and dewed the guests. (https://www.snf.org/en/newsroom/news/2019/05/dialogues-from-africa/)
